There is a lot of information in these guides, but it is not necessary to read most of it in order to start using Squash. Start with the User Guide and do some basic obfuscation of your files. From there you might want to investigate what annotations can do for you. The Customization Guide allows you to customized and expand the functionality to suit your needs.
